The first link is to your “Career Success Blueprint.” Think of this as your personal marketing plan—a map, if you will, to help clarify your goals, analyze the market, and align your major accomplishments and skills to the opportunity you want next. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised with the leadership development component of this Blueprint. For us, the information you provide will empower us to develop a powerful executive resume and supporting marketing materials for you.

Once you complete your Blueprint, please upload it to Basecamp. We will analyze your content and either reach back out to you in 2 business days with additional questions or share with you that we are starting on your draft.
Please let us know if you prefer phone or email for additional questions. We prefer email (via Basecamp) as it helps us organize the information, but we are happy to go over things on the phone too.
The second link will take you to a calendar where you can book your private coaching sessions. It is “pick your own adventure” when it comes to WHEN to book your coaching. You may wish to book sooner if you want us to help you with the focus of direction and overall transition strategy or later if you want help with transition C-suite transition strategies, interviewing, or compensation negotiation.
The third and fourth links are simple forms to help us strategically develop your list of introductions to executive recruiter and private equity firms by industry and niche.
Testimonials/Endorsements
We will be creating a page of professional endorsements from your professional network. This is an often overlooked marketing piece that is so powerful, it can be the final determining factor when companies are down to their final two or three executive candidates.
You will need to gather 3–8 short endorsements from your network.
You may already have endorsements you wish for us to use that are posted on LinkedIn or somewhere else. Please cut and paste these into a document and upload them to Basecamp so we can design a testimonials page for you.
If you would like to gather fresh testimonials (this is preferred), I recommend you make a list with three categories:
- Mentors
- Colleagues
- Those You Have Mentored
Contact each name, tell them you are focusing on updating your executive resume or, if you wish to be discreet, that you are focusing on personal performance leadership this quarter, and as part of that, you would like to know if they would consider writing you a short quote on your strengths in a particular area. That area should align with the skills you wish to use in your next role AND be something your networking contact can speak to.
Testimonials from a diverse group are best if possible. This group can include colleagues, board members, superiors, people who worked for you, vendors, other community leaders who have worked with you on non-profit or community projects, or similar. They should be coached (by you) to share strengths and results that align with your next role.
Private Coaching Sessions
Please be sure to book your two, 30-minute coaching sessions right away. During your private coaching session, depending on your needs, you may choose to focus on questions regarding your focus of direction, developing your job search strategy, or interviewing/compensation. You will want something to take notes with, and it would be helpful to have access to the internet.
Your coach, Maureen, is a highly sought after advisor who is trained in our particular methodologies for C-suite transitions. She holds post-secondary degrees in Business Education and Human Resource Management, 5 industry association memberships, and 11 professional certifications including Certified Executive Leadership Development Coach, Certified Professional Branding Strategist, Certified Career Management Coach, and Certified Career Strategist. She has over 20 years of experience in corporate and private coaching at the C-level in professional development and human resources. Updated Photo
A professional photo is of critical importance for your LinkedIn profile. Please send us a high-resolution photo that you would like for us to use on your LinkedIn profile.
*If you are booking a photo shoot, I recommend they are taken in natural, full light, or studio light—close up, smile, against a black or white background is best (white looks fabulous). The attire should be in alignment with your profession. You can try a more polished and then more relaxed outfit. Sometimes I will elect to use 2 or 3 of your professionally done photos.
Final Resume and Cover Letter
After we go over any changes you may want on your draft resume and value proposition letter, I will provide you with three final copies (Word, PDF, and ASCII text) with instructions on when to use what version.
Additional Marketing Collateral
In addition to your resume and value proposition letter, I will be developing for you an executive biography, an additional one-page networking resume, and additional value proposition letters for you aligned to PE/VC firms and executive recruiters.
Recruiter and Private Equity/VC Distribution
I will be distributing your resume and cover letter on your behalf to a large list of executive recruiters (national, global, or both) and private equity and venture capital firms who are aligned with your industry and/or position. After the distribution is complete, I will send you a detailed contact form for each recruiter I contacted in Excel format.
LinkedIn Profile
A few things we will look to enhance in your new profile include:
- Privacy, creating a vanity link, and getting endorsements.
- Keyword optimization.
- Creation of a summary statement and narrative of past positions.
- Making a few key connections, which we will suggest for you.
- Additional coaching.
